Earlier this month, Mstars posted that R. Kelly's 14-year-old daughter revealed that she is transgender and has changed her name from Jaya Kelly to Jay Kelly.

Jay got love and support for his family members including his mother and sister. What was missing however, was word on what his famous father though about his child's coming out.
The R & B singer has kept quiet on the topic until earlier this morning. During an interview with his local hometown Chicago radio station WCGI, Kelly was asked to talk about the topic.
"You don't really want to open it up by saying my daughter is becoming my son, the singer states. "Don't even give the blogs that kind of credit. You know what I'm saying? Real talk."
Kelly doesn't seem very receptive of the news, even going as far as to claim that the reports were just rumors. However, we don't really see how they could be rumors since Jay came out on his personal Ask.fm page.
The hip-hop singer changed the subject to more of a fiscal issue letting the station know that he'll be there to support his kids financially no matter what.
"You save money so your kids can go to college- no matter what they are or who they are," he explained. "They're still your kids, you got to support them."
We're not sure if this means that he is supportive of their choices or just supportive when it comes to the financial aspect.
He does end the conversation by saying "You got to know there's a back story. There's a background. That's why you can't judge nobody."
