Say goodbye to Bow Wow... and hello to Shad Moss.

The 106 & Park host reveals to fans today via his Instagram account, that he will officially be retiring his stage name of Bow Wow and will go by his birth name Shad Moss from here on out.

The 27-year-old said that the name change will officially go into effect after the BET Awards air on June 29, after more than 20 years of going by Bow Wow.

He prefaced the announcement by letting his followers know that he had "breaking new," for them.

"After the BET Awards I'm changing my name," Bow Wow states in the Instagram video. "I'm cool with my real name. No more Bow Wow after June 29, man. Shad Moss is what it is. New era, new money. Lets go."

He captioned the clip, "ANNOUNCEMENT: After BET awards I will no longer go by Bow Wow! I'm going by my real name "Shad Moss" we made a lot of history as Bow Wow. Now it's time for the next chapter and challenge.

While the singer respects the journey that he has taken he said that his stage name just didn't fit with who he has become. "Bow wow does not fit who I am today. Ima father, business man, TV host, Actor, and rapper! Time for MR Moss to take over!"

The rap star is no stranger to changing his name, though. Hip-hop star, Snoop Dogg was one who original coined the stage name Lil' Bow Wow in 1993 and then in 2002, he dropped the Lil' from his name and started just going by Bow Wow.

Well we definitely see some big things down the road for Mr. Shad Moss.
