Long-time drug addict, Pete Doherty, attempted to join a rehabilitation program in Thailand with no success.
When he first joined, a statement on his website read: "Doherty flew to the Cabin, in Chiang Mai, Thailand escorted by his manager Andy Boyd. Doherty's stay at the Cabin will see him undergo a rigorous treatment program designed to lead to recovery once and for all."
Doherty has been addicted to heroin and crack cocaine for a decade with many attempts to recover. He was checked into the program three weeks ago and now has been asked to leave the center.
The program director Alastair Mordey told Britain's Daily Mail, "Pete was discharged today for therapeutic reasons. It is important to maintain the integrity of the treatment program for the other clients to have a good chance of recovery. Pete understands this and therefore the reasons behind why we have asked him to leave."
The director also continued to express that they have parted amicably and that they wish Doherty the best.
The rocker was once the frontman of rock band Libertines.
