Taylor Swift To Be Honored with Human Rights Award

Country pop star Taylor Swift will be honored by the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights on December 3, 2012.  The non-profit organization will give the 22-year old the Ripple of Hope Award for her "commitment to social change."

Big names that were honored in the past include Bono of U2, George Clooney, and vice president Al Gore.

President of the non-profit Kerry Kennedy said in a statement, "Taylor Swift's dedication to advocacy at such a young age continues to inspire me, and I'm delighted to honor her as one of our 2012 Ripple of Hope Award recipients."

"As a young person, Taylor has already accomplished so much, and I look forward to watching all that she will do to help build a brighter, more peaceful world for us all."

Swift is building up a resume of high accolades at a young age.  She was recently named the highest paid celebrity under 30 beating Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
