Thursday night was filled with tears, and truly one of the best NBA Drafts in history. Moments before the Chicago Bulls picked No.16th player, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver took a moment to recognize and honor Isaiah Austin.

The Baylor center was expecting to have his name to be called in the NBA Drafts but that was Austin was diagnosed with a career-ending genetic disorder, called Marfan Syndrome.

It was truly an emotional moment.

Austin’s career in competitive basketball ended last week when he was diagnosed with the disorder that was inherited and affects the heart, eyes, skeleton, and circulatory center, according to the Marfan Foundation.

"Like the other young men here to night, Isaiah committed himself to endless hard work and dedication to a potential career as a professional basketball player," Silver said Thursday night at Barclays Center. "And we wanted to make sure he fulfilled at least this part of his dream."

Austin wiped tears from his eyes,  as he got his wish for his name to be called, shaking the hands of Sliver wearing a blue NBA hat.

"It's one of the biggest blessings of my life," Austin told ESPN after receiving a standing ovation from the crowd. "I worked so hard to get to this point and unfortunately it was taken away, but when God closes one door, he opens up another one."

Congrats Austin.
