Madonna’s Lourdes Leon, [Instagram Photo], Going To University of Michigan!

Madonna's daughter, Lourdes Ciccone Leon, has graduated high school and is about to enter to a new phase in her young life. The Material Girl's offspring is joining her alma mater, the University of Michigan.

Why is the 17-year old Leon heading off to college? Because it's something she is supposed to do after high school. After receiving her diploma from New York's Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (that school from the movie Fame), the graduate is heading off to the University of Michigan. The newbie freshmen will pursue her fine arts degree at their undergraduate music, theatre, and dance program.

In the '70s, the Like a Prayer singer briefly attended U-M before dropping out. The Evita actress attended maybe a class or two while dreaming of the Big Apple. To pursue her career in music, the college dropout ran to the city that never sleeps and started her way to the top.

Maybe the teenage daughter will finish all four years of college. The mother and daughter toured the campus previously in November. Because there was strong interest before, it means the pop icon's child still wants to pursue a higher education.

On her official Instagram, the Frozen songstress snapped a photo of the Ann Arbor school spirit store, the M Den.

 After watching her daughter graduate high school, the proud Madonna watches her own child grow up and move into college. Here's to four great memorable years at the University of Michigan for Lourdes Leon.
