Scoot McNairy Lands Mystery Role in Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice, Possibly Flash or Nightwing?

Filming on Zack Snyder's Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice has been going strong in Michigan, and now a new actor has reportedly joined the cast in a mystery role.

Deadline reports actor Scoot McNairy has joined Dawn of Justice in an unspecified role that "nobody at Warner Bros. will confirm." The article does not offer much more detail than that, but it's possible that he could play a superhero that gets a bigger role in Justice League, like Ray Fisher as Victor Stone aka Cyborg.

The Wrap later confirmed Deadline's report but said its sources are "sworn to secrecy" with regards to McNairy's role in the film.

Latino-Review's resident scoop expert El Mayimbe also chimed in on Twitter to hint that McNairy could play Nightwing. Fans may recall that Dick Grayson was one of the first characters rumored to play a small part in Batman V Superman before joining the roster in Justice League. Back then, Adam Driver was tied to the role, but he has since joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.

Other speculation maintains McNairy would play The Flash in Dawn of Justice. Either way, the actor would team up once again with Ben Affleck, with whom he worked on the Academy Award-winning Argo.

If the aforementioned reports are true, then the possible superhero roster for Dawn of Justice so far includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, The Flash and/or Nightwing.
