The USA defied the odds by making out of the group stages into the round of 16, but the team isn't about to settle for this minor success. They hope to impress the world once again by knocking out Belgium - the team that made some World Cup hopefuls like Russia and South Korea look like amateurs. We have Clint Dempsey up against Eden Hazard in the knockout round, so expect the sparks to fly!

"We're excited about trying to go further than we did last World Cup and getting past this first game (of the knockout rounds)," Dempsey said shortly after getting into the last 16.

"They're a top team. Everyone around Europe will tell you how good they are," USA's goalkeeper Tim Howard said. "They've got so many good players, young players, strong, fast, good on the ball. I actually think because of that we match up well with them, but we'll see."

Once again, USA is the underdog team going into the match, but that's how each game has gone for them so far. Unfortunately, they did concede a loss and a tie in the group stages, which are both unacceptable outcomes in the knockout round.

If somehow the USA draws with Belgium, it goes to 30 extra minutes of overtime. If that ends without a victor, penalty kicks come into play and that might be our big chance. That's a huge "if" though. There's no telling what Belgium can and will do to the impressive-but-lucky US team.

What we do know is that anything can happen, so we're in for one of the most exciting matches of the tournament. Who will make it to the quarterfinals? Are you holding out for another upset at the hands of the US?
