Many fans knew plenty about 22-year-old Colombia and Monaco star, James Rodriguez, however if you didn't know much about him before, he's most certainly used the 2014 World Cup to make a name for himself and his country. Although James has already played for FC Porto and now plays for AS Monaco FC, but is the star destined for bigger things?

The likes of PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid are on red alert. James has been a menace for opposing teams, scoring and creating goals for fun. He was already being hailed as a candidate to be the 'Player of the Tournament', a contender to win the Golden Boot and now one of his latest strikes against Uruguay appears to of locked up the 'Goal of the Tournament'.

Monaco certainly do not need the money, and would only sell their star asset for a huge fee and if he demanded to be sold. As seen with certain players before, if a players wants to leave then the can indeed make it happen. However, who's to say he is unhappy or would want to leave Monaco?

While some stars have had abysmal World Cup, James has proved he's in their elite class, or quite possibly the one above. What's next for Rodriguez? A move to the EPL certainly seems an option, but with Real Madrid always able to land the biggest and best players, you'd expect to see him become their latest asset in the next year or two.
