Robert Downey Jr.'s Son Indio Downey Arrested For Drug Possession

Maybe Iron Man can come to the rescue.

Robert Downey Jr.'s son Indio Downey was arrested on Sunday, June 29, 2014 in West Hollywood, California, after being caught by the police with cocaine in his possession.

The Los Angeles police stopped the 20-year-old during a traffic stop where they then proceeded to search the car. RadarOnline reports that the cops pulled the car over when they drove by and noticed Indio smoking something suspicious from a pipe.

Downey's son, who was a passenger in the car was arrested and taken to jail where his bail was set at $10,000. He was released after his bail was posted late Sunday night.

This is not the first time that the son of Hollywood Royalty has suffering from drug problems. Last year, he sought out help for his addiction to pain pills. He underwent "holistic, natural, and orthomolcular" treatments to get rid of his addiction during a stint in rehab, Radar is reporting.

It looks like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree as Downey has had his own struggles with drug addiction in the past, and like his son, also ended up in prison. The Iron Man star's drugs of choice were heroin and cocaine, but thankfully he cleaned up his act in 2001 and has been sober ever since.

Lets hope that the family can get Indio the help that he needs.
