So Nicki Minaj apparently thought she was dying of a weed overdose, according to MediaTakeOut. If you were one of the thousands of fans watching the BET Awards, on television in the comfort of your home last night then you probably can recall the moment when Nicki Minaj briefly reflected on an incident where she "thought she was going to die."

The rapper, singer and actress claimed that she wanted to "Call 9-1-1" but insisted that she didn't because she "didn't want TMZ to find out about it."

Well after doing a little digging and speaking to some folks close to the incident, the gossip site revealed that Nicki thought that she may have suffered from a weed overdose.

Now isn't that a story right there! According to MediaTakeOut.com, the singer was in the studio with Lil Wayne, and a few of the Young Money crew members smoking tons of weed, and possibly some other things. Minaj who does not smoke weed, doesn't have a problem with others smoking the plant around her while in the studio.

According to the source, "These [guys] went overboard with it though. They kept smoking and smoking, till the whole building was full of weed smoke." The insider continued, adding that the actress left the building after she believed that she was getting a close contact high.

The site reported that Nicki began having palpitations at home and difficulty breathing, and thought she was dying but did not seek medical attention. But after feeling better things were back to normal.

So there you go...if you were one of the curious fans who had to know what exactly happened to cause Minaj to act so dramatic on stage Sunday night, there you go.

MStars News is glad that you're ok Nicki, and congratulations.
