France had an almighty struggle to qualify for the 2014 World Cup, but it seems one fright was enough for them, and they weren't willing to walk a similar line in Brazil. France, were picked by many, as a dark horse for the tournament, and they've duly delivered. They've scored for fun and been resilient at the back. To progress to the World Cup Quarter-Finals they had the tough test of beating Nigeria. The game went back and forth, but thanks to two goals in the last 11 minutes, they were able to progress, where they will face the winner of tonight's Germany vs Algeria match.

Goals from Paul Pogba and an own goal by Nigeria ensured France were able to breathe a huge sigh of relief as the game came towards its end. Both teams had been back and forth, with the French having the better of the action. Nigeria, however, scored, but it was ruled out for offside, as their player was just past the defense. It could've been such a different game if that goal would of stood, but the French proved what any sporting champion must, they can win a game no matter what's thrown in their way.

Pogba has been influential and the talented Juventus midfielder will ensure they're an international force for years to come, but he and his team will believe they can go all the way and life the trophy this summer. Is that within their reach, or will the likes of Germany, Brazil and Netherlands be too much for them to handle?

After some rough moments over the last few years it would seem the French are back on track with a young, attacking and exciting team.
