Luis Suarez has been the talk of the world for the past week, as he bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini and was then rightfully banned. Suarez at first claimed he did no wrong, but after receiving a 9 international game ban and a four-month long domestic ban, he has finally revealed he is wrong. There are reports that Barcelona, the club his wishes to play for, and the one prepared to take him off of Liverpool's hands, insisted he apologize before they make an official move. It would seem that any deal would include Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez, joining Liverpool in a cash-plus-player deal.

Suarez released a statement today:

"After several days being home with my family. I have had the opportunity to regain my calm and reflect on the reality of what occurred during the Italy-Uruguay match.

"Independent from the fallout and contradicting declarations that have surfaced during these past few days, all of which have been without the intention of interfering with the good performance of my national team, the truth is my colleague Giorgio Chiellini suffered the physical result of a bite in the collision he suffered with me. For this I deeply regret what occurred, apologise to Giorgio Chiellini and the entire football family and I vow to the public there will never be another incident like it."

Has Suarez been forced to release this, and will he get his move to Barcelona? If so, is it right for Liverpool to demand Sanchez in return? It's going to be an interesting couple of weeks.
