X-Men: Days of Future Past has had great success at the box office with $712.7 million worldwide, which surpassed Captain America: The Winter Soldier to become the highest-grossing movie of the year thus far. Director Bryan Singer celebrated this milestone by posting the first page of the script to the sequel, X-Men: Apocalypse.

The monologue on the page, dated June 6, talks about a battle at the Nile River involving the Four Horsemen, who appeared in the post-credits scene of Days of Future Past alongside Apocalypse himself as he built the pyramids in Egypt. Check out the photo below from Singer's Instagram, which he created just to share the script page:

This could also indicate that Singer is directing Apocalypse. His status has been in question due to sexual abuse allegations against him.

Screenwriter Simon Kinberg also revealed that Apocalypse would take place in 1983.

James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult and Evan Peters are all expected to return for the sequel. Younger versions of Jean grey, Cyclops and Storm will also appear. It's also possible Channing Tatum could show up as Gambit, but this has not been confirmed yet.

Tatum also recently spoke to Screen Rant, which asked him about director Bryan Singer's desire to put Gambit into Apocalypse.

"I would do anything to be in those movies," Tatum said. "I mean, I love the Marvel world and what they've created as a real brand and they've sort of changed the face of the industry. I would be in anything they put up, especially Gambit."
