Jennifer Love Hewitt Returns In ‘Criminal Minds!’ The 'Ghost Whisperer’ Star Is Back On TV!

Audiences remember actress Jennifer Love Hewitt when she first starred as Bailey's on-and-off girlfriend in Party of Five. Now the Ghost Whisperer star is back on television as a series regular on the popular CBS drama, Criminal Minds.

Criminal Minds follows a team of FBI profilers as they focus their attention on the criminal, rather than the crime itself. The show has gone through many cast changes, including the main leads switching from Mandy Patinkin to Joe Mantegna. Recently, Jeanne Tripplehorn stated she would be exiting her role as Dr. Beth Gardner.

The I Know What You Did Last Summer movie star will play an undercover agent named Kate Callahan. Because of her stellar work at the FBI, Callahan will land a position in the Behavioral Analysis Unit. Question is, will Callahan be able to work with a team? Or is she too much of a solo player?

Showrunner Erica Messer is excited to add The Tuxedo action star to the ensemble, "We're thrilled to introduce a new special agent by adding the very talented Jennifer Love Hewitt to our amazing cast." Messer says. "Many of us on the show have enjoyed working with her over the years and look forward to again. We have exciting storylines planned for the character and the entire BAU team as we head into our tenth season."

For about five seasons, audiences watched as Hewitt spoke to phantoms and solved supernatural cases as The Ghost Whisperer. Her follow-up series, The Client List, only lasted two seasons.
