LeBron James Race Set To Rock NBA Free Agency

When LeBron James opted out of his Miami Heat contract, it sent waves across the NBA and the world, however, many believed it was just a ploy so he and his team could restructure contracts and make additions to strengthen their roster. However, it's been revealed that whilst LeBron's been on vacation, his agent has been having private discussions with many teams, including his former team the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Phoenix Suns. Could LeBron ditch the heat and find a third team to play for? The LA Lakers have entered the race, which is sure to provide some food for thought for James.

James has dominated the NBA during his career, so it's clear to see why every team wants him. He could take the very worst team and make them a top-four contender. It's believed the Heat, with a talent-loaded roster, and the ability to pay him the most, have the best chance of securing him to a long-term deal. However, minus the talent, the Cavaliers thought this the last time James hit free agency, and as you may remember, he bolted as soon as the door was opened.

Ironically James isn't saying much, and seems to be enjoying his vacation, regularly posting pictures on his Twitter account. Is it possible that James is basking in this chase for his services, or that he possibly has no clue where he will end up himself? It's believed that he would prefer to stay in the Eastern Conference, making the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers his best options.

It's clear that James needs to use his basketball brain to assess which roster can provide him with championships over the next few years, but which so many unanswered questions, which team provide him with the best chance of doing this?
