Jessica Simpson was so excited to get married to Eric Johnson that during the wedding vows the fashion designer made a hilarious mistake.

During the ceremony that was officiated by Jessica's dad Joe Simpson, insiders said that the bride had a little mix-up when reciting her vows to Johnson.

According to the source, when Eric started giving his vows he had to stop because his emotions got the best of him. Jessica too was very emotional during the speeches and let her feelings get the better of her. In fact, when she went to address Johnson she actually called him Jessica instead of saying Eric. Simpson just laughed off the silly mistake before starting her vows over.

The speeches continued at the reception, where sources told E! News that the speech Eric's father gave "was very emotional." The also added, "Jessica looked very happy on her wedding day."

The ceremony, which took place at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara California, was attended by 250 of Simpson and Johson's closest friends and family members, including Jess's sister, Ashlee Simpson, and her fiancé Evan Ross, along with Jessica Alba, Cash Warren, and longtime friend CaCee Cobb

"To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives," the couple told People magazine.

Simpson and Johnson exchanged vows on the lawn of the ranch under a canopy in a traditional ceremony that was set against the backdrop of an extravagant rose garden.

The insider also claimed that while Jessica chose to spend most of her time chatting with friends and family members at the wedding instead of dancing, it didn't stop her guests from getting down on the dance floor.  Some continued to party until 5 a.m.

One attendee gushed about the lavishness of the wedding saying, "That freakin' thing must have cost a million bucks. It was fantastic."
