Premier League Transfer Gossip: Arsenal Wants Alexis Sanchez, Lars Bender & Mathieu Debuchy: Thomas Vermaelen May Leave For Manchester United As Ashley Cole Joins Roma

The World Cup semi-finals are here but the English Premier League clubs are desperate for them to finish. Why you ask? So they can sign a host of new talent to upgrade their squads. Arsenal, who are often afraid to make many changes at once, are trying to sign Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez, Lars Bender and Mathieu Debuchy, however they may lose star defender Thomas Vermaelen to Manchester United.

Arsenal know they're in need of new players if they're to compete for the EPL title, but after losing a few players, it looks like Vermaelen might follow them. The new-look Arsenal will certainly provide an interesting team to follow. Manchester United are hoping to seal the deal for him, alongside Feyenoord defender Daryl Janmaat. This would take their summer additions to four for the summer. Would these moves help United?

In other EPL news, former Arsenal and Chelsea veteran Ashley Cole has agreed to join AS Roma in Italy. Evidently the long-term, high-paying role was too much to turn down for a player fast approaching the end of his career. The star will get to test himself out in another country, which is something that appeals to most players at some stage of their career.
