Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy returned to The View to take time out to thank the fans and the members of the show. The duo have not been seen on the show hosting since the show announced they were leaving . As Sherri gave an emotional speech, Jenny tried to laugh her tears off.

"I've made sisters and friendships for life at this table," Shepherd said. The actress and comedian shouted out all her fellow co-host, noting that Whoopi Goldberg has been "a mentor to me, I love you so much, Whoopi Goldberg, because Whoopi Goldberg has had my back when I didn't appreciate it she's always had my back. So I have exciting news that I will be announcing in the future because I love the show, I plan on coming back to promote them here. Take a chance, step out, do something that makes you scared, because this scared me to do The View, and I love the cast and crew who took me in and made me feel like this is my family. I love you, I love you," Shepherd cried out to the audience.

Rumors emerged that Jenny and Sherri were cut from the show on the same day, as the producers aim to hire a Latina and a conservative to replace the two comedians, and actresses.

Shepherd, who is now going through a lot of personal issues at home with a pending divorce and custody battle co-hosted the hit ABC show for seven years. Jenny who said joking, that yes the rumors were true that she had been fired, tried to get the audience to laugh by backing the joke up with saying that she had already taken a new job that might compete with The View.
