The cast of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story: Freak Show, Season 4 of AHS' run, continues to grow, as Wes Bentley has joined the roster.

TVLine reports exclusively that the American Beauty actor will appear in the two-part Halloween episode, tentatively scheduled to air on Oct. 21 and Oct. 28. Bentley will play Eddie, "a dark tormentor from Kathy Bates' past who is hell-bent on revenge." We'll go ahead and assume this means Bates' character, not the actress herself.

Bentley portrayed Seneca Crane in The Hunger Games and is also one of the leads in Murphy's HBO pilot Open, which TVLine reports is "still in the mix" at the network.

In related news, Bates recently spoke to Buzzsugar and teased some information about her character in Freak Show:

"It's in the late 1950s in Jupiter, FL, and I know what my character looks like, but I don't know anything else about her. In fact, I've just gone to costume fittings, and we're still developing the character," Bates added. "I haven't seen the script yet, and we start shooting in the middle of July, so time's a-wastin'!"

Bates was also shocked that co-star Sarah Paulson was able to divulge details about her two-headed character in Season 4:

"I mean, I'm surprised that Sarah Paulson came out with that she has two heads," she said. "I was like, 'What?!' But I think it's Ryan who disseminates that information when and where he wants to. I know he's talked about the fact that we're a freak show, and we're sort of in the last days of the freak show."
