Legendary comedian Joan Rivers made a stop by The Late Show with David Letterman last night following her now notorious storm-off during a CNN interview. In her segment, just after one of her usually lewd, yet hilarious jokes, the veteran host gave her a taste of her own medicine –– walking off the set in the middle of their chat and not returning ... even as they went to commercial.

Rivers' reason for appearing on Letterman was to promote her new book, Diary of a Mad Diva. Which also stands as why she was slated to be on CNN. Many have said that the blow up and walk-off was merely a publicity stunt meant to further publicize the book. When questioned about this by Letterman, Rivers confirmed, "Just the opposite! You know I'm easy to work with."

Her comments then turned to bit about Depend Undergarments, which is when Letterman decided enough was enough –– jokingly, of course.

Being the witty legend she is, Rivers felt no discomfort from having been the only person left on set. She took the time to do Letterman's job and interview herself, saying, "I'll just take over. I'll talk to me!"

And boy did she! Take a look at the Joan Rivers' Late Show interview below.

In speaking of the CNN interview, Rivers made an appearance over the weekend on the network and didn't particularly care for the direction the interview was going, calling the reporter's questions "nasty" and "judgmental" and opinionated –– like her wedding night, it seems.
