The 2014 World Cup is nearly over, but we will dive right back in to the English Premier League scene. Arsenal are closing in on Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez, whilst Manchester City's best player, Yaya Toure, wants to leave the club. A USMNT prospect has joined recently relegated EPL side Cardiff City. The talent is tipped to replace United States' goalkeeper Tim Howard in the future, but will he be ready for the 2018 World Cup?

Alexis was a star at the 2014 World Cup, and everybody wanted to nab the Barcelona star, however, it appeared unlikely. However, Arsenal are closing in on a mega $50 million deal which will see the star become the face of their side. Can he settle in to the EPL, and are Arsenal getting value for money?

Manchester City, who are ready to defend their EPL title, look like losing key player, Yaya Toure, who quite simply keeps dropping hints of a departure. The star has seemed unhappy for a while and it's rumoured they'd rather keep the unhappy star, no matter his mindstate. Player power often prevails, but can he get his move away from City?

Cardiff City were relegated from the EPL last season, but they're hoping to bounce back and to stay there for years to come. They've signed American prospect Charlie Horton, who is regarded as one of the best keeping prospects to come out of the U.S. since Howard. Horton will initially play in their U-21 team, but within a few years could he be their No. 1 and the No.1 for the United States Men's National Team?
