The unusual friendship between pop icon Miley Cyrus and Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne has spawned an exceptionally trippy video featuring Moby,  entitled Blonde SuperFreak Steals the Magic Brain.

Cyrus' parts were filmed when she was in the hospital earlier this year battling an allergic reaction to antibiotics. Coyne explains he was "lucky enough to get a couple of hours with a bedridden Miley...even though (Miley) was still quite ill, she was full of laughs and great absurd suggestions."

The five-and-a-half-minute long clip appears to share some colorful elements with the "Jupiter and Beyond" sequence from Stanley Kubrick's classic film 2001: A Space Odyssey and the cursed video tape from The Ring. As for the video's content, Coyne explains: "The video story is something like this: Moby is an evil, power-hungry cult leader. He wants the world's most valuable (according to our story) psychedelic supernatural possession... John F. Kennedy's brain....the brain contains the original formula for the drug LSD!!!  Miley Cyrus has the magic brain!!! And Moby enlists a nympho Manson girl-type blonde superfreak to go steal the brain from Cyrus."

Super fan and Wrecking Ball singer Cyrus has made no secret of her love for the Lips. The band joined her on her Bangerz tour, which featured lots of Lips-style furry costumes, and collaborated on versions of the Lips' Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots and The Beatles classic Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.  And Cyrus, Coyne and his girlfriend, Katy Weaver, got matching tattoos of Cyrus' recenty deceased Alaskan Klee Kai puppy, Floyd.
