Rosie O'Donnell Reuniting With Elisabeth Hasselbeck on ABC's 'The View'

With Elisabeth Hasselbeck's return to ABC's The View recently announced in Hasselbeck's interview with Barbara Walters, the rumor mill continues churning out Rosie O'Donnell's name for a return.  

Hasselbeck said, "I do believe this has been in the works for a very, very long time."

The two former View co-hosts have had a history of vocalizing opposing views on the show.  Their explosive disagreements made headlines and boosted ratings for the show.  Most significantly, O'Donnell and Hasselbeck's views on the United States' involvement in Iraq had viewers following what would happen with the debate.

The two have since made-up, but that does not keep viewers from speculating a reunion of the cast-mates.  Hasselbeck added some fuel to the past fire and said in the Walters interview, "Talk about not securing the border. Here in comes to The View the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network, and really in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there."  

According to The Hollywood Reporter,  "A source close to The View was surprised by Hasselbeck's comments, wondering why the Fox News anchor didn't mention anything about her interactions with O'Donnell the day of the reunion show two months ago."

Previously, Mstars News reported on Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd's departure from the show.  McCarthy had sparked a ton of controversy and possibly negative attention for the show with her stance on vaccinations.  The comedian made her rounds on talk shows and spewed her medical opinions (that vaccinations triggered her son's autisim), all of which have had zero backing from the scientific community.
