Last night's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon welcomed in a new game called "Pop Quiz" –– a segment that features Jimmy Fallon alongside his guest seated in chairs underneath the looming doom of water balloons. As they're asked "basic" trivia questions, their chairs rise closer and closer to the balloons depending on each of their answers.

Oh, and they're also wearing hats that hold sharp blades on the ends.

The below videos feature Fallon and LIVE with Kelly and Michael host Kelly Ripa. The latter host dons a Gorton's Fisherman-like outfit (undoubtedly covering her expensive clothes underneath) while Fallon can be seen in his normal Tonight Show attire. As the game goes, if the contestant answers their question correctly, their opponent's goes up. If they don't, theirs rises.

Both Fallon and Ripa appear to be having good fun with the game, despite the fear of getting soaked with reportedly four gallons of water.

Watch Part 1 of "Pop Quiz" below:

Tonight Show sidekick / announcer Steve Higgins acts as the game's "host" and apparently can't wait to soak his friend / employer. Higgins, who has easily become one of the best parts of the comedian's Late Night and Tonight Show gigs, gears the harder questions towards the late night host – hysterically, by the way – eventually raising his chair directly to the balloon and soaking him.

And while Kelly Ripa appeared to enjoy it oh, so much, Higgins didn't let her for too long. The moderator chose to raise her chair and give the crowd (and everyone else watching) the amusement of seeing the funny morning show host also get drenched.
