Miranda Lambert gets real.

In an interview with HuffPost Live's Ricky Camilleri,  Lambert spike in depth about her image in the media and how a fellow celebrity served as motivation for her new bod.

Lambert, a country music star and wife to The Voice's Blake Shelton, was pushed into the spotlight because of her talent but was overshadowed in the tabloids' rumors of affairs and negative attention on her weight.

"It was sort of out of nowhere" said Lambert.  "I mean, we're country singers, you know, we make albums, we go on tour, we spend a lot of time in Nashville and a lot of time in Oklahoma in a town of 3,100 people and he gets on 'The Voice' and suddenly it was like a page turned and we get on the tabloids and on the front of magazines with breakup rumors."

Lambert made headlines for her curvaceous size but made waves when she list the weight and flaunted a slimmer, more toned bod.  She credited her weight loss to putting down the junk food and getting up and moving.  She thanked the legendary Britney Spears, as Spears' rock-hard music video body served as an inspiration.

The country singer knows her fame will bring negative attention, but she hopes to bring a positive light for women.  Being not only proud of her success, she wants women to think positively about themselves as it is easy to be a harsh judge with the way the female body is criticized in the media.

"I just am who I am and whatever you think a role model is," she explained. "I may be a good role model because I just am always positive about body image: Just be who you are. It doesn't matter what size, it's all about who you are on the inside and what you stand for. Believing in what you believe in and speaking it out. But yeah, I have tattoos and I cuss and I drink and I'm just a country girl, so I'm not a model citizen, but I try to be a good person."
