Season 3 of the CW's Arrow does not premiere until October, but filming is now underway on the first episode. This means the steady stream of plot spoilers will begin to flow in the coming weeks, and we already have some information on the second episode of the new season.

The "Matt's Inside Line" column at TVLine reports the second episode of Season 3 "will find Oliver hunting down a vicious killer and mercenary who is wanted for murder in seven countries and now is targeting victims who are associated with a specific company." This is a bit vague, of course, but start your guesses as to what company this could be.

The column also reports that Arrow star Stephen Amell's cameo in The Flash pilot is "a nice enough, if obvious, moment, where Barry seeks out the nudge he needs to be the hero he now can be." This seems like a fitting role for Oliver Queen, who has much more experience than Barry at this whole hero thing in the world of Arrow and Flash.

In related news, Amell recently commented on returning to film Season 3 of Arrow:

"Starting a new season is funny. First of all, you really can't overstate what a relentless schedule this show demands. We've never seen a script in the 47 episodes we've shot so far, that had me thinking: 'Well... this should be relatively easy.' Everything is always an attempt to be bigger and bolder all the time, which I love. If we ever settled into a rhythm that suggested a creative complacency was starting to fester, I'd probably lose my mind. Because I'm an actor. And even the most rational actors are crazy by any reasonable measurement. So... you start a new season and you think - like the first day of school, that you'll just ease into things. I mean... you never took a test, much less an exam on the first day. Well, that's not how things work on our show. We are full speed ahead, stakes high and we haven't even broken for lunch. It's good to be back. Really good."
