For the past couple of weeks 19-year-old hunter and Texas cheerleader Kendall Jones has been in the media spotlight for posting photos of herself posing with her exotic big game kills. Due the outcry and threats by animal lovers and activists, those photos have been removed, but another allegedly inhumane hunter has entered into the realm online consciousness.

Enter Steven Spielberg -- dinosaur killer. Wait.. what?

Facebook humorist Jay Branscomb, posted a photo of the famed director with one of his big game "kills"...a downed triceratops from Jurassic Park.

Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man. -

The caption reads, ""Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man."

The post went viral and astoundingly, many people appeared to miss the joke. Too many in fact:

"Steven Spielberg, I'm disappointed in you. I'm not watching any of your movies again ANIMAL KILLER."

"Disgraceful. No wonder dinosaurs became extinct. Sickos like this kill every last one of them as soon as they are discovered. He should be in prison."

And....

""I don't care who he is he should not have shot that animal."

Perhaps those posts really were too dumb to be believed, and were in fact jokes themselves. Still, others tried pointing out that the photo and accompanying caption, were, in fact, satire:

"I don't know how many of you are NOT in the know, but dinosaurs have been extinct for quite a while. The man can't hurt what has been dead for millions of years."

Did they do any good? Time will tell. The post has racked up almost 7000 comments and 35,000 shares.
