Bad habits die-hard, and Daniel Radcliffe is learning that the hard way.

The Harry Potter star has tried everything to give up his habit of smoking cigarettes, but nothing seems to be working.

The Daily Star is reporting that the actor usually has 20 cigarettes a day, and has tried both hypnotherapy and e-cigarettes to stop his addiction to the cancer stick, but both failed.

The 24-year-old is so desperate to kick the habit that he is about to check himself into a smoking treatment center.

"It will be a kind of residential treatment program, involving counseling, both individual and group, stress management and herbal treatments to help withdrawal symptoms," and insider told the Daily Star.

"There's also a full exercise and activity program which includes swimming, running and yoga," the news site continued. "Daniel knows he has an addictive personality, and he's been open in the past about his drinking demons. Thankfully he managed to kick the bottle. So now he sees cigarettes as his last major vice to conquer, and he is confident he'll succeed once again."

This news comes on the heels of a possible sequel to the Harry Potter franchise as J.K. Rowling has just finished work on a short story following the boy wizard. While fans are geeking out over the news, Dan has already stated that he would have no interest in reprising his role should the short story turn into a film.

"My inclination is to say no. I don't think it's a question... not even hypothetical," the star explains. "Harry is at least 12 years older than I am now."

Good luck to Dan as he tries to kick his smoking habit.
