LeBron James has made a name for himself for all the right reasons, the wrong reasons and finally once again, the right reasons. He made amends, rejoining the Cleveland Cavaliers, four years after breaking their hearts to join NBA rivals, the Miami Heat. However, he is back, at least for now. Many fans expected the star two sign a long-term contract, but he's surprised, if not shocke the world, by signing a contract for only two years. Will he test NBA free agency in 2015, or 16? He could do it in either year, but there's evidence to suggest LeBron will be a Cavaliers player for a long, long time, regardless of his contract duration.

LeBron explained his intent to achieve his and the Cavaliers' goals together, but this contract has worried fans. Every time he has been able to test free agency he has done just that. However, this time around, LeBron is actually in some ways protecting both himself and the franchise. By signing for two years, he can receive more money in the future, save the team some money now, and allow the Cavs to target some of the top free agents that will be on the scene in the coming years.

Although the short-term contract is bound to worryy some fans, LeBron has time and time again proven his basketball smarts, and this move may well represent just that once again. But of course. some Cavaliers fans can't help but fear another heartbreak is coming.

Could LeBron ditch the Cavaliers again, or is he likely to stay there forever?
