From 1988-1993, The Wonder Years found itself situated comfortably in both America's living rooms and hearts. Though labeled a comedy, the iconic ABC show held an incredible amount of emotion, telling the story of a family in the mid-1960s, and of course, the story of Kevin Arnold and Winnie Cooper. Earlier this morning, the cast reunited for the first time onscreen in 16 years on ABC's Good Morning America.

Easily a classic television show, The Wonder Years spent six seasons on the air, and in that time, appeared to strike a chord in families all across the nation due to its realness and truthful storytelling capabilities.

"It was terrifying," star Fred Savage tells GMA of he and Danica McKellar's first onscreen kiss. "We were so scared and nervous and didn't know what was going to happen." The kiss was not only the first for their characters, but also the first for the then child stars.

Savage continues, "But all that stuff was very real. And I think that all those things that were kind of happening on the show, it all grew out of something very real that was going on between us or in our lives."

The GMA segment goes on to discuss the uber successful careers each child star has had since the show's 1993 ending. Dan Lauria, who played Savage's father, Jack Arnold (and is now playing a father on TBS' Sullivan & Son) told GMA, "Josh [Saviano] is a big entertainment lawyer; Jason [Hervey] is a producer; Fred's a director. All this crap about kids from TV shows having terrible lives, look at The Wonder Years."

The on-camera reunion was done in order to promote the show's upcoming DVD release. The Wonder Years is available for pre-order now.

And for the last time, no, Josh Saviano, who played Paul Pfeiffer, is NOT Marilyn Manson.
