If you're a fan of Conan O'Brien and the entire crew over at Team Coco then you're well aware of the fact that Executive Producer Jeff Ross loathes any kind of television appearance –– despite being seated (un)comfortably just behind the cameras. Well, on last nights episode of CONAN, the producer placed his nerves aside for the good of the show and acted the hell out of a bit to promote the recent Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

O'Brien started the segment discussing the hot topic of immigration and House Speaker John Boehner's recent comments on it. When throwing to a video of Boehner's conference, the host was surprised to be met with a 15-second ad for the new Planet of the Apes film before the actual video.

After questioning the placement, Ross commented, "That's how we do it online. You have to watch a 15-second ad before you see the clip. We make good money off those."

O'Brien demanded they not show the ad while he was trying to conduct the monologue. And while it appeared Ross obliged, the late night host was then met with several ape-related bits while attempting to talk about immigration, such as a poster for the movie placed behind his desk, a cut-to of their director in the control room dressed in an ape costume (and not an expensive one) and a new Basic Cable Band member –– an ape playing the bongos.

Finally, when O'Brien was able to get to the video of Boehner, the voiceover interrupted by telling people to "go see Planet of the Apes."

And of course, we can't forget Ross popping through the movie poster –– "Everything's going ape!"
