Just when you thought that the Frozen craze was about to thaw and turn into summer, we have learned that there might possibly be a TV show in the works based on the Disney movie.

ABC is looking to spinoff their highly popular series Once Upon a Time and have it follow the characters of Frozen including Anna, Elsa and Kristoff. The show has already added these new characters into it's fourth season but it seems like that could all be a setup for a possible spinoff series down the road.

"We don't have immediate plans for a Frozen spinoff, but they're so inventive those two..." Paul Lee, President of ABC told E! News during the TCA Press Tour yesterday, referring to the OUAT creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.

This wouldn't be the first time that the series has tried to get a spinoff off the ground. Last year Once Upon a Time in Wonderland premiered and was cancelled after only 13 episodes aired. However, it doesn't look like this shortcoming is stopping the minds behind the show from expanding the OUAT universe.

"Eddy and Adam are endlessly inventive, so they have glints in their eyes of stories that they can spin for years to come," Lee says. "So it certainly doesn't rule out their ability or my ability to go beyond Once."

The show has gotten some flak about introducing the world of Frozen into the series. Some critics say they are just trying to capitalize on the success of the film while other say that it's too early. Lee however thinks that the addition is a wonderful idea.

"Frozen is a wonderful asset. John Lasseter (executive producer of the Frozen film), himself flew up to Vancouver, he's integrally related to the way we're doing that. Adam and Eddie always have a twist on every story, so you can imagine their twist is going to be very different. But no, I think it's the perfect time. We're thrilled with it."
