Gwen Stefani reunited onstage at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, CA for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards with band mates Tom Dumont, Adrian Young, and Tony Ashwin Kanal after No Doubt's 11 year hiatus. The band performed the single "Settle Down" off of their sixth studio album Push and Shove, set to be released on September 25.

After the release of Rock Steady, No Doubt's 2001 studio album which featured hits including "Hey Baby" and "Hella Good," Stefani took off on a successful solo career, releasing two albums between 2004 and 2008. Now back as lead vocalist of the four-member ska-punk crew, Stefani, 42, states she is excited to be performing new No Doubt material (as reported by music-news.com).

After a brief introduction by Hayden Panettiere and will.i.am, Stefani slithered out to center stage followed by a rhythmically-synced bass and drum lead-in to the reggae-infused "Settle Down."

Decked out in a sheer black tank top, black and white speckled pants, and a spiky platinum blonde hairdo (reminiscent of her punk-inspired 1990s style) Stefani hit the stage full of spark and energy. The band tore into the opening chords of "Settle Down," with bassist Tony Ashwin Kanal thrashing back and forth across the stage throughout the set, stopping periodically to bang on two large floor tom drums. Stefani hit each vocal beat with ease and precision, keeping the crowd on their feet while she swayed along to the rocksteady rhythm.

Even after over a decade of not playing together, the band was smooth and in sync throughout, demonstrating No Doubt's strong ongoing musical as well as onstage chemistry. If this performance gives any clue as to the overall sound of the upcoming album Push and Shove, No Doubt fans will surely not be disappointed. The band instills the same jamming, poppy vibes which made past 1990s hits including "I'm Just a Girl" and "Spiderwebs" so successful, and does even more so with "Settle Down."
