The Season 3 premiere of Arrow is still a few months away, but plenty of news has been pouring out over the summer, and this past week was no different. TVLine posted three major scoops in the past few days, so let's get right to them.

Firstly, the "Matt's Inside Line" column posts the following about Laurel Lance's (Katie Cassidy) storyline for Season 3:

"We spoke with exec producer Marc Guggenheim at a Thursday night CW soiree, where he professed, 'One of the things we're most excited about is Laurel's story. Everything that we've been gearing up for, for the last 46 episodes, will come to fruition' - possibly including that passing of a baton/leather jacket in the season finale. As the season opens, 'She's still in the DA's office,' Guggenheim added, 'and there will be some interactions with a new character that we haven't announced yet.... Her fans will be really, really happy.'"

The show has also been teasing Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) past for a while, and the column reports this season will finally shed some light on it:

"As Felicity/EBR's fans very well know, 'We have had a backstory for her for over a year now that we keep saying, 'This is the episode where we're going to do it,' and we don't,' Guggenheim shared. 'But this is the year we're going to do it. That script is getting worked on as we speak.'"

Finally, the "Ask Ausiello" column reports some more details on the kiss between Oliver and Felicity in the Season 2 finale that didn't make the final cut of the episode:

"As EP Greg Berlanti explains it, 'We felt like we didn't need it, for a lot of reasons. But in part, we already were playing with [the viewers'] affections to a certain degree,' by having Oliver 'profess' his love to his No. 1 gal, knowing that Slade was listening in."
