TMZ reports ex Destiny's Child singer Farrah Franklin was arrested and held for disorderly conduct in South Carolina on Sunday.

Sources say Franklin was Horry County Detention Center in Conway around 5 AM and that alcohol definitely played a part in her arrest.

Franklin, who was with the group for only a few months before being given the boot, is no stranger to brushes with the law. In April 2011, she was arrested in Culver City, California for the same thing. She insisted that her arrest was due to racial profiling on the part of the police. She said of her first arrest, "Unfortunately, I am the latest victim on what seems to be a growing list of those who are racially profiled and mistreated by Culver City Police. I was manhandled by the arresting officers." LAPD however, said otherwise - she was taken in after a neighbor complained of disorderly conduct.

Franklin was a member of Destiny's Child in the year 2000 and appears in the music videos for "Say My Name" and "Jumpin, Jumpin." She was fired by members Kelly Rowland and Beyonce after missing three appearances. The singer was unaware she was let go until she saw a report about her dismissal on MTV News.

Beyonce explained in a later interview Franklin no longer wished to be in the group.

After leaving the group, Franklin released some solo material and tried her hand at acting. She starred in a film called The Brewster Project in 2004 and won Best Supporting Actress award from the Independent Film Awards.

Following her departure, Destiny's Child became a trio and the rest is history.
