Evan Peters stole the show as Quicksilver in Fox's X-Men: Days of Future Past, but Aaron Taylor-Johnson will portray the character in Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron. So how will the latter interpretation differ from the former?

Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige spoke to IGN, which asked if Marvel would alter some of its special effects after seeing what Fox did with X-Men.

"No, we're not," he said, "and there may be some things that look like that, because he runs really fast, and time slows down if you want to be in his perspective while he's running fast." But "they may as well be two completely different characters."

"We are very much playing up two things that [Days of Future Past doesn't] play with: one is his relationship with his twin sister, Wanda; the other is, his backstory as an Eastern European child of a war-torn country, and we follow him throughout the whole movie -- him and Wanda -- as it relates to their feelings about the Avengers and how that shifts and changes over the course of the movie. So it's a very different thing than coming out from one, unbelievably awesome showcase sequence of the movie, and much more interwoven throughout the entire movie."

It makes sense that Marvel would not react to Fox's work, plus Taylor-Johnson will likely have much more time on screen than Peters, who only appeared in a few scenes.

How do you think the two portrayals will differ? Let us know in the comments below.
