To some football fans, Peterborough United might not be the first club you think of when the word talent springs to mind. However, despite being two levels below the English Premier League, in League One, it seems they're the club to play for if you want game-time, development and a chance at gracing the EPL. The club is managed by Darren Ferguson, the son of all-time great Sir Alex Ferguson, and their track record for buying and developing players, and then selling them to the EPL, is second to none.

Take Dwight Gayle in to consideration. The talented forward was stuck at League Two's Dagenham & Redbridge until he got his move to the, then Championship side, Peterborough. Gayle made a instant name for himself, and earned a big money move to Premier League club Crystal Palace, where he famously scored two goals against Liverpool. Posh are already preparing their next batch of young talents, it seems.

Meet Britt Assombalonga, Jermaine Anderson and Jack Payne. The trio are a vital part of the Peterborough set-up, and all three are tipped for big, big futures in the English leagues. At 21, 18 and 22 it's easy to see why these stars are considered huge prospects. The trio are already established League One players, with some believing they (as Payne has proven) could handle Championship football.

Britt scored goal after goal, taking Peterborough to a trophy win at England's famous Wembley Stadium and a playoff semi-final defeat to Leyton Orient, so one can wonder how far the 21-year-old striker can take them with that experience behind him. With West Ham and Fulham watching him play recently, he could move up the leagues sooner than many expect, but Posh are unlikely to sell their star asset.

Anderson is only 18 years of age, yet he's already played for England for his international age-group, and he's considered a top, top talent, with Peterborough fans already comparing him to a young version of EPL legends Patrick Vieira and Yaya Toure. No pressure, kid. The star broke in to the first team last season, but has since improved at such a rapid rate, that many believe he will be a key player, all around 8 years before a footballer supposedly hits his prime.

Posh captain Payne believes Anderson, who plays in the same position, has impressed massively. He explained "I think we've all seen him progress over the last year when he come in to the team, and this year the way he's come back he's been flying, to be fair him. So, I don't want to put any pressure on him, but I think he's got a good future ahead of him." When asked if he'd seen improvement like that before, he replied "No, but then again I don't want to put too much pressure on him. He's training hard everyday, trying to improve and asking questions, so that's all we can ask of him really.

Of course, Payne is not to be forgotten. The youngster has played in the Championship, impressing enough to earn a full-time move to London Road. After a disappointing 2013/14 season, he has impressed this summer, becoming the captain of the club at the tender age of 22. When asked about his aims for the season he was quick to say they were "To get in the team and stay in it as long as I can, I didn't play as many games as I'd of liked last year, so I want to try and stay in the team as long as I can."

It seems Peterborough United have three young, hungry and relatively experienced talents, who might not only take them up the football league, but become established Premier League players in the near future.
