It's fair to say that Derek Jeter has been one of the greatest ever players in MLB history, which explains the heroic welcome and farewell he's receiving at each and every game he participates in. Fans, companies and players are all finding their own ways to honour the New York Yankees star, and Nike have joined the club too. Nike decided to show their respect to their five-time World Series champion, and their video sent shockwaves across the internet, with it going viral.

As Jeter steps up to the plate, the clip showcases many sports players, celebrities and many more people. The likes of Jay-Z, Michael Jordan and the former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who all tip their baseball hats to respect one of the greatest players ever. The video even includes players from the Yankees' rival team, the New York Mets. The video had over 7.3 million views, making it a hit on the Viral Video Chart, coming third.

Videos by Samsung took No. 1 and No. 2 with the likes of Childish Gambino and Iggy Azalea the stars of the first video, while the second video was a six-minute soccer-themed video. Jeter's video is likely to amass hits for years and years, with many looking back to watch one of the coolest videos of all-time.

Is Derek Jeter the greatest player, in terms of honours, playing the game today? Can the Yankees replace him? How many times will you watch one of the most unique videos Nike have ever produced?
