There's been a crazy amount of hype about the upcoming Roger Corman-produced film Sharktopus Vs. Pteracuda ... mainly from one of the film's actors –– CONAN host Conan O'Brien. Over the course of this month, O'Brien has been incessantly pimping the film, purchasing billboards in both Los Angeles and New York, and even taking out a full-page ad in the entertainment industry's "bible" Variety magazine. And on last night's episode, the host unveiled his full scene in the upcoming August 2 film.

Before unleashing the video of his surefire stellar acting chops, however, the host shared with the crowd a video of another brilliant actor taking a look at his work –– Gary Oldman. The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes star was a guest on O'Brien's Monday night show, and so it only seemed right to have had the legendary thespian judge his performance.

He then moved onto the pièce de résistance – the moment we were all (some of us ... okay, those of us who watch CONAN) were waiting for.

So, let's take a look at Conan O'Brien's full scene from Sharktopus Vs. Pteracuda:

While short, O'Brien's performance is pretty hilarious. The host plays himself, hamming up his celebrity status with a martini glass and some fancy yacht-wear. After being hit with a volleyball on the beach, and arguing with some volleyball players, he is abruptly decapitated by Sharktopus. Oh, and the volleyball players continue the game with his head. Yep, really.

The film will be released on Saturday, August 2 at 9 p.m. on Syfy.

So, will O'Brien FINALLY get his big break??
