Nicki Minaj dropped jaws Thursday morning after she promoted her newest single "Anaconda" in a pink thong on Instagram. The rapper's newest single is set to be released July 28 on iTunes and already has the Twitter realm going crazy as it tops the trending news on social media.

The 31-year-old is hitting the music scene back hard after throwing major shade at rapper Iggy Azalea during the 2014 BET Awards. Now as the 2014 MTV VMAs are set to air on August 24, the women are neck and neck for "MTVs Hottest" spot and Nicki is pushing to come out on top.

Is Nicki proving she's better than her rival Iggy? During Nicki's acceptance speech for winning BET's Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, the rap star slammed the 23-year-old Australian rapper.

"What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it," she tried to avoid any negative attention adding, "No shade."
