In a recent interview with GQ magazine, actress and star of Syfy's upcoming Sharknado sequel, Sharknado 2: The Second One, Tara Reid believes a sharknado can actually occur.

The 38-year-old said in a joint interview with co-stars Ian Ziering, Vivica Fox and ex-Access Hollywood host and Sugar Ray singer Mark McGrath that a waterspout of shark-infested seawater is a indeed a possibility, however distant.

"You know, it actually can happen," she said. "I mean, the chances of it happening are very rare, but it can happen actually. Which is crazy. Not that it – the chances of it are, like, you know, it's like probably 'pigs could fly.' Like, I don't think pigs could fly, but actually sharks could be stuck in tornados. There could be a sharknado."

What would the actors do if such a disaster were to occur in real life? Stock up on weaponry.

Ian Ziering advises "getting the biggest, badass chainsaw you can find and hope for the best," while Vivica Fox says, "the smart thing to do is to go to the top of a roof, get some bombs, and make sure you have on an awesome, powerful wetsuit."

In the event of a real sharknado, McGrath's approach would be a little more Zen: "You have to stay calm, OK? Because everybody else is freaking out. And you have to be good friends with Ian Ziering. If you're part of Ian's group, you got a fifty/fifty chance of survival."

Sharknado 2: The Second One airs Wednesday, July 30, on Syfy.
