Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is rumored to be the latest sports phenom to have an upcoming biopic about his life, and it seems the champ has eyes on Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx to portray him.

According to The Guardian Liberty Voice, the 48-year-old retired boxer said he would be happy to have Foxx portray him on the silver screen, having little doubt that Foxx will do a "magnificent" job. As of now Foxx isn't physically prepared to take on such a role but the two plan to come together real soon to brainstorm about the idea further.

With a biopic on the way, Tyson continues to show his versatility since his boxing days with the announcement of an upcoming mysteries cartoon series.

During the San Diego Comic Con, Cartoon Networks Adult Swim team showed a sneak peek of the new "Mike Tyson Msyteries" animated series, which is scheduled to air this fall.

The new series has a kind of Scooby Doo feel to it, with the mystery team being run by Tyson of course. However, what will separate Tyson's show from that of Scooby Doo is that there will be no talking dog but instead a talking pigeon that will be voiced by comedian Norm MacDonald.

The series is also to star Rachel Ramras and Jim Rash as well.

ABC News reports that during the Comic Con reveal, Tyson who was up on a panel was asked whether he plans to help write for the show, and he said, "That'd be beautiful, but you'd have to spell."

He then recieved a standing ovation.
