Homeland returns for Season 4 this fall after the Showtime series hit the reset button in the Season 3 finale. Now, Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) will work as a field agent abroad, and the show should have plenty of new material to work with when it returns.

Sadly, James Rebhorn, who portrayed Carrie's mentally ill father on the show in a handful of episodes, passed away earlier this year. Executive producer Alex Gansa spoke about the late actor at the Television Critics Association press tour recently.

"Remembering Rebhorn as 'one of the kindest, most supportive and wonderful men to work with,' EP Alex Gansa was mum at TCA on how exactly the show will write in his absence," TVLine reports. "'We want to honor him,' he said, 'but how we actually go about doing that, I'd rather not say.'"

The producers were also mostly silent about Carrie and Quinn (Rupert Friend), a relationship for which fans have started to clamor. But TVLine also has some news about a certain teenage girl's absence that should make some fans extremely happy.

"'We're all very much invested in the Quinn character,' is all that EP Alexander Cary would say at TCA. But as a consolation prize...I offer this from Gansa: "I can say unequivocally that Dana Brody will not be back for Season 4."

How do you think the show will honor Rebhorn's memory? Are you surprised Morgan Saylor won't be back as Dana Brody? What do you think will happen in Carrie and Quinn's relationship? Let us know in the comments below.
