Hilary Duff has made her triumphant musical comeback in the most summery way possible.

The pop star has just released her new single "Chasing The Sun", and has also given fans an extra treat by releasing the music video for the song today as well.

Hilary hits the sand and surf in the new sunny video, but the catch is she isn't really there. She is actually daydreaming about the beach while sitting at her boring office job, something we all know a little bit about.

Her delusions get the best of her as she keeps waking up in the most awkward situations. While she dreams that she is cooling down by having a splash fight with her hot beau in the ocean, she is actually throwing water on her co-workers during a staff meeting. And when she thinks that her boy toy is lathering her up with some tanning lotion, she wakes up to find one of her creepy coworkers rubbing mayo on her arms. YUCK!

Duff's comedic timing is still fully intact, as we couldn't help but laugh and smile while watching the video. She definitely accomplishes her task of making her new single light-hearted and fun.

The only thing that we are mad about with the video is that it's making us jealous that we aren't dancing around on the beach to the song right this instant.

The former Disney darling, has been teasing the track from her upcoming album for a while, and now that it's finally here we can't help but craving more.

The track is currently at number 23 on the iTunes charts.
