The Fifty Shades of Grey trailer has just come out and it's already whipped all the competition, pun fully intended.

The ultra steamy BDSM video, which was released last week, has been making some serious noise on the Internet. Only five days after premiering the trailer has already become the most viewed movie preview of 2014.

Read the hilarious Twitter reactions to the trailer.

Fifty Shades, based on the E.L. James novel of the same name has racked up an impressive 36.4 million YouTube views in its initial week, according to Zefr, a technology firm, as cited by The Hollywood Reporter.

The trailer has surpassed the previous record holder, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which drew an impressive 31 million views at the end of March. Godzilla and Transformers: Age of Extinction also had strong showings this year, which each achieved 26.3 million views during their initial week of being released.

Dumb and Dumber Too holds the fifth highest spot after gaining 23.5 million watches.

If trailer views correlate to actual box office success than Fifty Shades is bound to be gold when it premieres on February 13, 2015, just in time for Valentine's Day. Both Transformers and Godzilla have earned an impressive amount of coin at the worldwide box office, grossing $966 million and $498 million to date. TMNT and Dumb and Dumber Too are yet to be released.

The trailer, which stars Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) and Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey), was released just in time to play before the new Scarlett Johansson movie Lucy in theaters.
