Marvel Entertainment is extremely proud to to partner up with Lucasfilm Ltd. to announce the return of the iconic Star Wars franchise. Starting in January 2015, get ready for three new blockbuster comic book titles taking place after the events of George Lucas' sci-fi epic, Star Wars: A New Hope.

In January,  writer Jason Aaron (Original Sin), John Cassady (Astonishing X-Men), and colorist Laura Martin have joined together to  for Star Wars. While everyone can expect  to see Han Solo and R2-D2 to return, a major thread of the story will be about Luke Skywalker's journey to become a Jedi. Following the canon set by Lucas, we know his coming-of-age tale will decide the fate of the entire galaxy.

Not only will we see the Rebel Alliance fight back, the Imperial Forces of the Galactic Empire have not forgotten the destruction of the Death Star. In February 2015, Writer Kieron Gillen (Young Avengers) and artist Salvador Larroca (Ghost Rider) present Darth Vader, starring the most vile villain in the entire galaxy.

Gillen explains how the series will dive into the mind of franchise's antagonist, "Vader's the sole survivor of the greatest military disaster in history - and a disaster that he definitely had a hand in by letting the rebels escape with the plans for the Death Star. This is not a thing which leaves you in anybody's good books, let alone the Emperor's."

In March 2015, writer Mark Waid (Daredevil) & artist Terry Dodson (Uncannny X-Men) bring readers the 5-issue limited series Princess Leia. Set right after the Rebel's victory at the Battle of Yavin, the princess must confront the reality that her entire home-world has been completely destroyed. Witness the rise of  the greatest cinematic heroine in history as she takes her rightful place as the Alliance's fearless leader.

Waid teases, "Does she choose to be a Princess of nothing - or does she set out to rebuild her heritage and civilization?"

Comic book/sci-fi fans should grab all three series when they hit newstands right away.

From January to March 2015, get ready for Star Wars, Darth Vader, and Princess Leia. Readers, which title are you most excited about?
