Arrow star Stephen Amell gave a lengthy video interview during San Diego Comic-Con last weekend in which he discussed numerous aspects of Season 3, including Oliver's relationship with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), his son and much more.
Many fans have been clamoring for "Olicity" for the better part of two seasons, and it looks like they'll finally get at least a taste of it when the two characters go on a date in the Season 3 premiere. Oliver has been a ladies' man for much of the first two seasons and more or less slept with every woman not related to him. But Amell said that would change this year.
"Oliver has one woman this year," he said. "That woman is Felicity. There's some of the stuff we do in the premiere, regardless of if that means Felicity and I are going to be together, if I meant what I said in the finale - we talk about some pretty important stuff in the premiere and if Oliver were to have a fling it would undermine some of that. So, I think that the cavalcade of women is going to slow down or stop."
Asked if Felicity is the "long game," Amell simply smiled and responded, "Who's to say?"
Amell also said he actually came up with the way the show will reintroduce the plot about Oliver's son, though that may not happen this season. He pitched the idea to the writers and they loved it. Funnily enough, executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg pitched Amell's own idea back to him weeks later!
