Tim Howard, Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard & Brendan Rodgers Bringing MLS & Premier League Closer Together: Manchester City, Liverpool & Manchester United Help: International Champions Cup

The English Premier League has, for a long while, been considered the place to be for elite players. However, thanks to its budding relationship with the EPL, the MLS seems to be following in its footsteps. The likes of Tim Howard, Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard and most recently, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, have been helping to bring the two closer together.The ongoing International Champions Cup has helped, too.

Players like Howard and Henry have helped, by doing the exact opposite to each other. Henry, known for his EPL days, is an MLS star for the New York Red Bulls, whilst American goalkeeper Howard has been proving U.S. players can handle the EPL.

Recently Lampard left Chelsea, and he has joined New York City FC, a new club that had a link to Manchester City. All in all, these bonds will make the MLS a stronger league. Liverpool and City have been joined by some of Europe's best teams, including Manchester United, taking part in the International Champions Cup. The competition is showcasing the EPL's best in America.

The two divisions are acting like brothers to one another, and Liverpool boss Rodgers pushed the two even closer together recently. While Liverpool were touring in USA he placed a special You'll Never Walk Alone wreath at the 9/11 memorial site in New York.

If all of these things continue to happen, the EPL. & MLS may just dominate football, and then their countries could look to dominate the international cups too. It looks like soccer might take off in America after all.
