Chris Hemsworth Provides Thor 3 Status Update

Chris Hemsworth once again dons the silver armor and red cape to portray Thor in The Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015. But fans also expect him to suit up again for a third solo Thor movie after the original in 2011 and Thor: The Dark World last year. Now, the man himself has provided an update on the film's status.

And it looks like fans must wait a while for Thor 3 to happen. "Yeah, I got a lot of time," Hemsworth told reporters (via Collider). "I don't think it's just yet, Thor 3. I think it's a ways away."

This makes sense given the film does not yet have a director and the only news we have had on it recently is writers Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle are writing the screenplay. Hemsworth will also return to play the Huntsman in the next Snow White and the Hunstman movie in early 2015, so it looks like he won't be stepping back into the Thor costume for a while.

In late June, some set photos of Hemsworth as the thunder god hit the Internet, as filming on Joss Whedon's sequel continues. The photos continue to appear online thanks to adventurous fans who have been capturing some images with their cell phones and cameras. The photos show offer looks at Chris Evans and Hemsworth in full costume.

The pictures show Hemsworth wielding Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. The new photos also provide a new look at Evans in his full Captain America gear. We also get some shots of nondescript soldiers and some weaponry. Check out the photos here.
